AETHER Web — Privacy Policy

AETHER Web is a browser extension that applies real-time audio effects — spatial widening, EQ, bass and limiting — to the sound playing in your browser.

What we collect

Nothing personal. AETHER Web does not collect, record, store, upload, or transmit any audio, browsing history, account information, or other personal data.

Audio handling

Audio is processed locally on your device, in real time, entirely inside your browser. Captured audio exists only momentarily in memory to apply the effect and is never saved or sent anywhere.

What is saved (on your device only)

Your effect preferences: slider values (width, bass, clarity, treble, volume), the selected preset, and whether the effect is ON for a given website.
This is stored using the browser's local extension storage on your computer. It is not synced to us and not shared with any third party. You can clear it at any time by removing the extension.

Permissions

tabCapture / offscreen (Chromium): to read and process the active tab's audio after you enable the effect.
Content scripts / host access: to run the in-page audio engine and to auto-enable on sites you previously turned on.
storage: to remember your preferences as described above.

None of these are used to observe your browsing or collect data.

Third parties

No data is sold or shared. No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs are included.
AETHER Web is not affiliated with YouTube, Spotify, Apple, Netflix, or any other service whose audio it may process.
